Harley Quinn (Mad Love)
Continuing my never-ending trend of “let’s make every variation of Joker and Harley,” I present Harley in her negligĂ© from “Mad Love.” The main body is a Hawkgirl. The bare feet come from an old Pocahontas figure (I think). The arms are from Hasbro’s attempt at a TNBA Poison Ivy, (read more...)
Harley Quinn (Holiday)
“Holiday Harley,” based on her appearance in the Batgirl Adventures comic, was one of my earliest customs. I’ve long since wanted to remake her. But other projects kept getting in the way. Then Elise Archer, cosplayer extraordinaire, worked up a fantastic costume version that reminded me how poor my old (read more...)
Harley Quinn (Flashback)
“Momma’s little helper!” Ah, Harley. I simply loved Harley’s use of a bazooka in Batboy: Return of the Joker. It’s so…Freudian. That being said, I wanted to create a Harley figure as seen in the film. My original plan was to adapt a standard Harley figure to accommodate a bazooka. (read more...)
Harley Quinn (Dentist)
One can’t have too many Harleys! This one represents the opening scene of “Mad Love,” when Harley and Joker disguise themselves as dentists and kidnap Commissioner Gordon. The recipe here is fairly standard. Typical Mattel female body, with skirt and sleeves shaped from Magic Sculpt. Her head is the Hasbro (read more...)
Harley Quinn (Arkham City Game)
I very much enjoyed “Arkham Asylum,” and am looking forward to “Arkham City.” This latest take on Harley is not my favorite, but I’m excited enough by the prospect of the sequel that I wanted to make an animated version. Besides, I was already making the Asylum version. Harley is (read more...)
Harley Quinn (Arkham Asylum Game)
When I first laid eyes on Harley’s new outfit for the Arkham Asylum video game, I thought “What have they done?!” But having played the awesome game, I warmed up to the costume. It’s far from my favorite, but I genuinely think it works for the character in the context (read more...)
Harley Quinn (Anniversary)
“Wanna try some of my pie?” Oy! I guffawed when I saw that scene the first time. Great comedy, on so many levels… Er, anyway, as for my plastic interpretation… This is another one of those inspired uses for spare parts. The Harley you see here contains only 2% real, (read more...)
Harleen Quinzel (Holiday Knights)
“Holiday Knights” was the first TNBA episode to air, and it remains one of my favorites these many years later. The opening scene between Harley and Ivy captures their relationship perfectly, with some beautiful animation. How could I not want to represent that in plastic? “Casual” Harley started as a (read more...)
Harleen Quinzel (Skates)
“Harley’s Holiday” is one of my favorite episodes from Batman: The Animated Series. I’ve been meaning to make this version of Harley for years. After working up these prints, I decided now was the time. The base is a typical Hawkgirl body, with sculpted details added. The head is a (read more...)
Harleen Quinzel (Arkham Inmate)
One of the driving reasons behind the Arkham Asylum project was the excuse to make some of Batman’s rogues gallery in prison attire. (Like I really needed an excuse.) At the top of that list was Harley/Harleen. I’d made an unmasked Harley years ago, but the less said about that (read more...)
