Poison Ivy (BTAS)
Once again the work of TRCreations inspires! TRC tends to specialize in Poison Ivy customs like I do Harleys, so I always look to him when it’s time to update or correct Ms. Isley. In this case, it’s DC Collectibles BTAS Poison Ivy that was part of the GCPD set. (read more...)
Poison Ivy (BTAS)
As a general rule, I am not fond of convention exclusives. They tend to anger a larger part of the fanbase than not, and that’s just not good business. If I have to live in a world with con exclusives, I feel such things should be limited to odd variants (read more...)
Mikey “Batturtle”
I LOVED the Batman/TMNT Adventures book by Matthew K. manning and Jon Sommariva. It was my favorite version of Batman combined with my favorite version of the Turtles. Solid story. Great art. Easily my of my favorite comics of the last few years. I was also pleased to see there (read more...)
Poison Ivy’s Greenhouse
There have been many occasions when I wanted to photograph a particular scenario, but then realized I couldn’t because to do it properly would require a greenhouse setting. I mulled this over for a couple of years before I settled on a course of action. What I would really like (read more...)
Clayface (BTAS)
Silly DC Collectibles! When will you learn that we will always spot the errors and short cuts you take. Generally you do great work, and we all enjoy it! But please, maybe stop and take a last look and ask yourself “is this correct?” Sometimes, the honest answer will be (read more...)
Catwoman (Concept)

There are some great sketches by Bruce Timm of Catwoman wearing all black. It’s basically the final design sans the belt. I thought that would make a fun and simple (read more...)
Carpenter
I very much enjoyed Paul Dini’s run on Detective comics a few years back. His stories, as one might expect, ring true with the characters in ways that other writers often miss. In that time, he also expanded the roster of Gotham weirdos as only Mr. Dini can. Among those (read more...)
Batgirl (Cape)
TRCreations continues to inspire! This recipe is s̶t̶o̶l̶e̶n̶ l̶i̶f̶t̶e̶d̶  borrowed directly from him. The cape is cut from craft foam. A whole was drilled through the foam and into the figure’s back to accommodate the flight stand peg. (The original cape just lays over the new cape.) Following TRCreation’s lead, I (read more...)
Batgirl (Bombshell Vampire)
As far as customizing some Bombshell figures goes, Vampire Batgirl is one of the easier options. 90% of her is a repaint of the existing Batgirl figure. The head is where things get interesting. In an effort to really send a clear signal that this was indeed a vampire, I (read more...)
Catwoman (Bombshell)
What to do with a spare Bombshell Poison Ivy figure? Turn her into Catwoman, of course. The first challenge was the skirt. After several attempts, I found the best solution was a JLU Darkseid skirt. It was almost a perfect fit. It didn’t quite meet up in the back, so (read more...)
