Batcave Playset (1989)
Some projects start small, and then start to grow organically, until the next thing you know you’re taking a deep dive in the set design on a decades-old movie to figure out if there’s any logic to a cave structure. My journey down this rabbit hole started with the 1989 (read more...)
Riddler Throne (1995)
This Riddler throne was sculpted by Classic_Mawc on Cults3D. I was vey pleased to find it, so that I could print it myself. I chose to print it in Filament rather than resin so I could capture that shiny gleam only filament can provide. I did separate the stool and (read more...)
Vicki Vale (1989)
Vicki Vale is a tough custom to make. Despite her many outfits in the 1989 Batman movie, there are not many figures available to act as a base. The custom Vickies I’ve seen are made from scratch. This was my solution. I printed a head from a sculpt by Headify (read more...)
Max Shreck (Maxsquerade)
I was thrilled when I learned McFarlane was releasing a Max Shreck figure. Less so when I saw Max was wearing a suit and coat combination he never wore in the films. Still, I guess it’s better than nothing. I commissioned ArcLightCustoms to help me created a double-breasted suit piece (read more...)
Clayface (1989)
John Jackson Miller provided us with two novel sequels to the 1989 Batman movie. The first is Batman: Resurrection, and one of the primary antagonists is Clayface. Joe Quinones provided some promotional art depicting his interpretation of the novel’s Clayface. This custom is based on that art. All the heavy (read more...)
Catwoman (Echoes)
I really enjoy the art of Joe Quinones in “Shadows” and “Echoes,” the two comic book sequels to the Michael Keaton Bat movies. (The writing, not so much.) Quinones gave us two new takes on Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman. From the waste up, this is the standard McFarlane ’92 Catwoman. The (read more...)

Catwoman (1992 Alternate Heads)
McFarlane’s 1992 Catwoman figure is one of the best figures he’s made. But for the price, she should have included more accessories, including some alternate heads. I decided to add a few more. All of these heads are 3D-printed in resin from various files I’ve collected over the years. Sadly, (read more...)
Bruce Wayne (1989 Casual)
I can’t build a 1989 Batcave without also making a matching Bruce Wayne. The base figure is the Diamond Select Uncharted Nathan Drake. I had to Dremel off some of the weird pockets and add basic jeans pockets. I also altered the neckline into a turtle neck. The head is (read more...)
Alfred Pennyworth (1989)
Todd released a Michael Gough Alfred figure with his version of the ’95 Batmobile. And it’s fairly awful. He repainted a Joker suit, which is entirely incorrect for this Alfred. Mr. Gough never wore anything even remotely similar during the four films he appeared as Alfred. I could not let (read more...)
