Preserver

Difficulty: 
Jim Abell recently pointed out that the Ben Ten figure “Wildmutt” looked a lot like the monster form of the S:TAS character the Preserver. I think it was Peter Fries that informed us the same character designer worked on both shows, so it’s little wonder there are such similarities.
Honestly, the Preserver appears in some of my least favorite episodes, but I’m never one to pass up an easy custom. All he needed was a bit of sanding on one shoulder, some new paint on the claws and a new pair of eyes, and he was done.
No sooner do I finish mine than my buddy Tyke ups the ante by painting the entire figure the appropriate shade of red. Looks much better that way!

Moderate: New and modified parts.
Skilled: Lots of new and modified parts. “Frankensteining” often involved.
Advanced: All of the above, plus a great deal of original sculpting.
