Solomon Grundy (Gangster)

Most people remember Solomon Grundy as a mindless brute. And he is often depicted that way in comics and animation. However, the original conceit of the comics was Grundy would die and be reborn multiple times, and often he would be reborn differently that his previous incarnation. Sometimes he came back as an intelligent gangster-type, ready to pick up his tommy gun and lead his men into a mob war. That’s what I wanted to create in this custom.
The body is the re-released Marvel Legends “Fixit Joe” Hulk. I simply repainted the suit and hands. For the head, I printed the sculpt by the folks at B3DSERK. I digitally mashed up the head with a 3D fedora to make the alternate head.

Easy: A simple parts swap. Little if any paint.
Basic: Some modified parts. Mostly a new paint job.
Skilled: Lots of new and modified parts. “Frankensteining” often involved.
Advanced: All of the above, plus a great deal of original sculpting.
