Let’s be honest. Mattel’s attempts at making 3 ¾” scale figures has been a joke since day one. Everything they’ve made looks like a Happy Meal toy. Especially compared to some of the works of art Hasbro has released at that scale. I guess practice really does make perfect.
With all that in mind, I never intended to buy into the current lines. But with the first official release of a movie Zod figure, I got sucked in. The (mostly) screen accurate Penguin sealed the deal. SO I ended up getting the movie characters.
Given the scale, it occurred to me how easy it would be to drop a Lando Calrissian head onto a suited body to make a 1989 movie Harvey Dent. Tyke graciously supplied the head, which I stuck on a Black Mask body. (I had to scour the movie, but Dent does wear a three-piece suit in one scene. Briefly. Under a trench coat.) A quick paint job and the project was done!
