Bartholomew “Bat” Aloysius Lash was a DC character that first appeared in 1968. (And for those of you too young to even have a clue who he is, no, he’s not even remotely related to Gotham or Batman.) Back then Western/cowboy comics were still a thing, and Bat Lash fit right in. He’s a card player, a gambler, a scoundrel. (You’d like him.) He’d rather talk than fight, but he can hold his own when things go south. He also made a memorable appearance in JLU, for those of us who are Timm fans.
My Bat Lash is built on a Diamond Select Westworld Teddy figure. I didn’t have to do much to alter the figure. I removed the coat and filled in the holes it left behind in the torso. I added the kerchief and gave him bangs. The rest was paint. Simple and classy.
