I always felt it was a shame that more oversized Giganta figures have not been made. (Mattel produced a JLU version, and a BAF, back in the day. The BAF is excellent.) I then turned that disappointment into action, knowing the magic of 3D printing allows me to scale to any size I need.

I don’t recall if Giganta appeared in the Bombshell comics. And I don’t recall ever seeing an official version by lead designer Ant Lucia. So I took it upon myself to craft my own version.

Marko Ramljak is a talented 3D artist. I used his articulated female files as a base point for this whole series of figures. There are several sets of files for articulated ladies out there, but I prefer Marko’s the most as the overall shape is more natural than many of the others. His joints and engineering are less distracting. The fact that the basic construction is very similar to DC Direct’s Bombshell figures doesn’t hurt either! From there I just scaled the files up to a decent size.

I had previously opted to make a few mechanical changes. Marko’s files are meant to be pinless, but in the standard size Bombshells, I found there wasn’t enough “real estate” in most of the joints to hold. So I added holes and used styrene rods as pins. I simply scaled all that up along with the rest of Giganta.

The headsculpt was designed by JMarco2000. It’s a super cute piece. I thought the slightly unruly hair was perfect for a 1950s Giganta beach look.

Printed using Resione Anti-Impact resin. (I find it has qualities very similar to plastic used in manufactured figures.) Printed on an Elegoo Jupiter.

Welcome to the Bombshells, Giganta!
