As of 2024, there has never been a really solid generic/comic version of Poison Ivy produced in a 1:12 or 1;10 scale. Sure, there have been some excellent story and/or artists specific versions, like my beloved Bombshell Ivy, but never a good basic version. (Mattel tried one late in their tenure. The less said about that one the better.)
For years I’ve been tinkering on a basic Ivy. She is surprisingly difficult to capture. What you see here is probably the fourth or fifth version.
Clearly, the body is Todd’s version of Uma Thurman’s Poison Ivy. Why reinvent the wheel? But I wanted a “generic” head. In the end, I probably printed and tried out a dozen or more heads before I settled on these. And by settled, I mean why settle for just one? 3D printing means not having to be stuck with one option. So I went with four.
The noggin with leaves was sculpted by…. The gentleman who sculpted this recently sold his catalog, and changed his online identity. And I don’t recall the new name! If I come across it, I will update this.
The remaining heads were sculpted by stl.custom.collections via Patreon. (He does excellent work and you should consider subscribing.) The two with wavy hair are actually meant to be Black Canary, and the one with big, curly hair is, in fact, Ivy. Printed with Siraya Tech Fast Grey resin on an Elegoo Jupiter.
